Photo Gallery | Van Schaick Exhibit Coming To Gallery2000

"People of the Big Voice,'' an exhibit featuring photographs from Charles Van Schaick from the Wisconsin State Historical Society collection, will be on display Nov. 30 through Dec. 14 at the MHS gallery2000.

Van Schaick was a portrait photographer from Black River Falls who photographed the town and its citizens for more than 60 years. The photographs provide a better understanding of the Ho-Chunk family, community and home live.

Tom Jones will discuss the photos and his role in the production of the book, "People of the Big Voice: Photographs of Ho-Chunk Families by Charlies Van Schaick, 1879-1942'' at 1:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 14 at the high school. The event is free and the public is invited to attend.
