Photo Gallery | Ridgewood beats Middleton in big swim meet

More than 500 children participated in a swim meet Saturday between arch rivals Ridgewood and Middleton on Madison's West Side Saturday morning.

Ridgewood beat Middleton 588 to 489 to stay undefeated in the 2012 summer s\wim season.

Two new pool records and one team record were set at the meet on Saturday.

Beata Nelson set a new pool and team record for Ridgewood in the 13-14 girls 100 meter backstroke with a time of 1:06:59.

Ridgewood's Ben Gebhart set a new pool record in the 13-14 boys s50 meter butterfly with a time of 27.88 seconds.

Ridgewood's dive team also beat Middleton at dive meet held at the pool 75-51.

Ridgewood will head to Maple Bluff next Saturday for the next meet in the summer season. Middleton will be at home next Saturday against Hill Farm. Both meets begin at 8 a.m.
