Free Donuts For Ugly Ties At Middleton Store

The Krispy Kreme Donut store in Middleton is offering a dozen free glazed donuts when you bring in an ugly tie. All you have to do is snag one of dad's ugly ties and bring it to Krispy Kreme before Father's Day.

The Krispy Kreme store is already adorned with dozens of ugly ties. Your dad's ugly tie could join the others that are haging from the ceiling at the Middleton Krispy Kreme.

The Middlton Krispy Kreme has been open since late March and features it's famous hot glazed donuts and a variety of specialty donuts.

Krispy Kreme is located at 2109 Deming Way in Middleton.

Downtown Middleton Businesses To Host Beach Party

Downtown Middleton businesses are hosting the first annual Beach Party and Service Appreciation Day on Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The event includes an art fair, horse and wagon rides, a bounce house, live music and sidewalk sales.

The day is sponsored by the Downtown Middleton Business Association.

Middleton Farmer's Market Continues Tuesday Afternoon

The Downtown Middleton Farmers Market started Tuesday, May 3 and will continue to be held every Tuesday through the month of October, rain or shine and will be open from 3 to 6:30 p.m.

The market is off of Terrace Avenue in the city’s parking lot, behind the Hubbard Avenue Diner.

The market will have many of the same vendors from last year along with several new ones The Downtown neighborhood felt that they had their own market last year, and  the DMFM is excited to build on that success.

DMFM features locally produced fruits, vegetables, baked goods, hanging baskets, popcorn, meat, cheese and several other items.

City Says Compost Bin/Rain Barrel Sale A Success

 

The city of Middleton said the compost bin/rain barrel sale held on Saturday at the Middleton Public Works Garage was a success.

The sale ran from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and organizers said that by 7 a.m., residents were already lined up to purchase items.

There were 200 compost bins, 60 rain barrels, 50 kitchen compost buckets and 50 compost turners available for sale, according to Abby Attoun, associate planner.

Attoun said people were allowed to line up at the cash table at 8:30 a.m. and soon after the sale began at 9 a.m., all of the rain barrels were sold.

The kitchen compost buckets and compost turners sold out by 9:45 a.m. At the end of the day, everything was sold with the exception of 70 compost bins, organizers said.

Attoun said if the event is held again next year, they will plan to have more rain barrels and accessories available.

Attoun also thanked the volunteers who helped with the event.

Farmers' Markets Open For The Spring, Summer Season

Local growers are set to share their seasonal produce in Middleton.

The farmers' market at Greenway Station opens Thursday and will be held each week through Oct. 13.

Residents can shop -- rain or shine -- from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The market is located at the corner of Greenway Blvd. and Deming Way, in the Greenway Station Shopping Center.

A Tuesday market is held in the city of Middleton's downtown parking lot on Terrace Ave.

Vendors will be on site from 3-6:30 p.m. through Oct. 25.

Wine Walk To Saunter Through Downtown Middleton

The Downtown Business Association will host the first ever Wine Walk in downtown Middleton on Thursday, May 5 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Several of the downtown businesses will be offering an evening of wine tasting, socializing, shopping and fun.

Tickets are available at Marilyn's Salon at 1833 Parmenter Street.

New Salon Moves Into Greenway Station

Greenway Station Shopping Center has annouced the addition of Studio 262 Salon, an AVEDA concept hair salon and retail center.

Studio 262 Salon, owned by Wisconsin local Stacy Snook, will open in the 2,200 square foot space between Coldwater Creek and Bath & Body Works along Deming Way, officials said.

The salon will offer a variety of services including haircuts for men and women, color and foil, wedding and bride styling, as well as massage, facials, cosmetics and body treatments using AVEDA products. Additionally, they incorporate a complimentary mini photo shoot to clients with each visit.

Studio 262 Salon has one location in Brookfield. The Brookfield area code, 262, was the idea behind the number in the salon name. 

Snook grew up in the Black Earth area and graduated from Capri Cosmetology College in 1991. Currently she also owns and operates Styles Salon & Spa, a Best of Madison Award Winner, located in Cross Plains.
