Clerk: Dahmen paperwork for school board seat not timely filed

Clerk: Dahmen paperwork for school board seat not timely filed

Greer will run unopposed for MCPASB seat in Area 1

Middleton-Cross Plains Area School Board clerk Annette Ashley ruled against David Dahmen Tuesday, meaning he will not be on the ballot for the Area 1 board seat in April.

Dahmen had filed a declaration of candidacy with the filing clerk by the deadline but had erroneously included copies of a signature document that required originals.

The incumbent, Jim Greer, challenged the filing Jan. 7.

Though Dahmen delivered the original paperwork within 24 hours of notification that the photocopies were not valid, the paperwork snafu has resulted in his exclusion from the official Election Day ballot.
