Middleton Receives More Than $26,000 In Snow Event Relief | News
The city of Middleton has received a check in the amount of $26,171 for payment under the Presidential Disaster Declaration declared on Tuesday, April 5.
City officials said the award is composed of federal and state funds for the reimbursement of costs that the city incurred for snow removal, public safety and other repairs and replacement costs associated with the blizzard event on April 5.
The reimbursement amount represents roughly 75 percent of the total costs incurred by various city departments during the event, city officials said.
Police Chief Brad Keil facilitated the city’s successful reimbursement efforts through his work as the city's Emergency Preparedness Coordinator.
