Middleton wins boys' golf WIAA regional | News

Middleton High School won the WIAA boys' golf regional by 9 shots over Verona on Tuesday. Madison Memorial and Waunakee also advanced to the sectional next week in La Crosse.
Verona finished second as a team at the regional at Odana Hills. Tyler Reinecke and Caleb Baltes led the Wildcats with rounds of 76, which ties for 7th overall.
The individual winner also played for the team winner. Mitch Johnson was the only guy to break 70 on this day at Odana, 34 on the front, 35 on the back, which adds up to 69 for Johnson.
Johnson's 69 gives him the individual title by one shot over Memorial's Peter Webb.
