Chris' Cause Benefit To Be Held On Sunday | Events

A benefit event will be held for an area man who continues his fight with cancer.

Chris' Cause -- A benefit for Chris Thompson will be held at the Cross Plains Legion Hall on Sunday, Dec. 11 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Thompson, 35, was diagnosed with leukemia in October 2004. He has been in remission, but continues to be bothered by a series of medical issues connected to medicines he's taking.

The latest issue is a bleeding ulcer that has resulted in numerous surgeries.

Thompson has also struggled with a divorce, loss of insurance and other issues that have also lead to the need for Sunday's event.
