Clean & Green Middleton event to be held Saturday | Environment

Clean & Green Middleton will be held on April 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event will be held at Greenway Station at 1600 Aspen Commons.

Folks are invited to drop off donations for charities and properly recycle items all at a single location.

Donate to St. Vincent de Paul, Habitat ReStore, Middleton Kiwanis and other local charities: clothing; household goods; furniture; appliances less than 10 years old; durable medical equipment (crutches, wheelchairs, shower chairs, etc.); eye glasses; books; used and surplus construction materials, fixtures, tools and  supplies. Recycle safely for the environment and at NO COST to you: 

• CFLs (no tubes), batteries (for a free-will donation of $1/lb), computers, laptops, servers, printers, computer parts, cables, wires, adaptors, and chargers, LCD (thin flat panel) computer monitors, UPS units, stereo equipment, VCRs, DVD players, home thermostats,  smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, CDs, DVDs, diskettes, VHS tapes, household electronics (i.e. microwaves, vacuums, power tools, toaster ovens, mixers, etc.), scrap  metal, gas-powered lawn mowers (must be emptied of gas and oil)

New Easy Flat Rate Pricing for TVs and CRT (tube) Monitors:

• CRT (tube) Monitors Small (up to 19”) - $10
• CASH ONLY  Large (over 19”) - $20

Televisions    

• Small (up to 13”) - $5
• CASH ONLY  Medium (up to 25”) - $10
• Large (up to 36”) - $20
• No TVs over 36” accepted at Clean & Green.

There will be paper shredding from 9 to 11 a.m.
