St. Peter kids win award in charity coat collection drive
St. Peter Catholic School was one of three schools to receive a top award in a contest to collect coats for charity.
The Middleton school won the per capita award; the 28 students were able to collect 52 coats for families in need, plus an assortment of snowpants, hats and mittens.
A combined total of 9,739 coats were collected by the Koats for Kids campaign in 2012.
Northside Elementary School in Sun Prairie and High Point Christian School were also award winners this year.
