Middleton High School Presents Annual Madrigal Dinner | Arts & Culture
Title (Max 100 Characters)
Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Thy presence is requested by the royal King and Queen at the annual Madrigal Dinner presented by the Middleton High School Chamber Singers and drama students on Saturday, Dec. 17 and Sunday, Dec. 18, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the MHS Student Courtyard.
Give yourself an opportunity to prepare for the holiday season and enjoy this modern day re-creation of a Renaissance feast reminiscent of those held in 16th Century England during the twelve days of Christmas. Take a step back in time to an evening of Renaissance-style music, pageantry, frivolity, great halls and a three-course meal fit for a King! Diners can choose between Pork Tenderloin, Cornish Game Hen or a Stuffed Acorn Squash provided by a NEW local caterer, Viviani’s. You won’t want to miss the revelry, humor and cast of characters from the royal court including court jesters, royalty, pages, courtiers, and even Rapunzel and the Brothers Grimm from this year's masque entitled "Rapunzel, Rapunzel, Let Down Your Heir."
Advance ticket reservations are available for $41 each (tax and gratuity included) and can be obtained by credit card from www.mhschoralboosters.org or by check from Theresa Juris, 7101 Ravine Ct., Middleton; email: tjuris@chorus.net; phone: 576-5297. Reservations must be received by December 13.
The MHS choral music program is under the direction of Mr. Tom Mielke; the drama program is headed up by Ms. Kendra Dando. This event is sponsored by the MHS Choral Boosters.
