Middleton Outreach Ministry Says 'Thank You'

Middleton Outreach Ministry (MOM), an area non-profit working to prevent homelessness and end hunger, is thanking the community for providing gifts for more than 450 individuals, families and seniors in need through their Sharing Christmas program.

Throughout the month of December, community groups, businesses and individuals came together to provide more than $75,000 worth of gifts to people in need who may have gone without this holiday season.

"It was amazing to see the community pull together," said Jackson Fonder, Executive Director of Middleton Outreach Ministry. "People came to us earlier this year with need, and our numbers rose quickly, but because this community believes so strongly in caring for each other, they made sure each and every individual, seniors or family that applied for the program was able to receive gifts."

MOM's Sharing Christmas program not only provides joy and hope, but tangibly serves as another way for people to save their limited resources for necessities such as food and rent.  Through the program, families, groups and businesses were matched directly with low-income people in the community and purchased them gifts off of a wish list.
